Proofs Ready! Here's How to Access Your Gallery

Gallery Access Code

Spring Pictures are now available for ordering on our order site. To access your student's galleries, find the orange button below that reads "Get My Spring Pictures!," then enter your online code as described below.

Use the FIRST FIVE LETTERS OF LAST NAME, followed by the FIRST FIVE LETTERS OF FIRST NAME, and the code "S21." For example, Jonathan Anderson would be "AnderJonatS21" and so on.

Please use the student's name as registered at the school; no nicknames or middle names. If the name is shorter than four letters, please enter all characters. If the student has two last names, please use the first last name in the passcode. For example, "Sarah Garcia Jones" would have the passcode "GarciSarahS21."

Please enter this password and your email to log in to the gallery. Should you have any trouble accessing your child's gallery, please contact us immediately.

MISSING STUDENT IMAGES

If you have logged in to your gallery but find an error message stating that "your gallery is unavailable" this is because we have not photographed your child and have NO images in our system for them.

A large majority of students were Virtual Learners on picture day, and did not get photographed. Thanks for your understanding.

How Does Spring Picture Day Work This Year?

As you know, the pandemic has created many challenges with children in schools, and school photography is no exception. At Lot Five Studios we are making every effort in keeping your student (as well as ourselves) safe!

Oak Forest Elementary students will be photographed and socially distanced during Spring Picture Days. We adhere to a strict protocol when photographing your child and are taking every precaution to protect the health and safety of the students and staff during their portrait times.

Please know that when we photograph your child, we adhere to safety standards which include socially-distanced photography between the subject and photographer, removing of student's mask for less than 5 minutes while far away from others, and an abundance of hand sanitizer in between. Additionally, ALL Lot Five Studios employees are masked at all times when working with your student.

Virtual/Remote Learning students can come during their scheduled class time and enter via the Lamonte Lane circle drive.

All photographers and staff will be masked and the use of sanitizing products such as hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes will be utilized. All classes who are not in a learning pod will remain separated.

If Your Student Learning Virtually from Home...

If your student is a Virtual Learner this year, no problem! Virtual Students may come to campus at the same time when their class is scheduled on March 30th through April 1st. All Virtual Students must enter the campus via the Lamonte Lane circle drive at the back of the school. Parents and students, please remain in your vehicle until an OFE staff member escorts you to the photography area.

We realize that this might not work for all families, so if you have questions or can't make it, please contact Mrs. Pennington to schedule a time for your children. You may reach her via email at apennin2@houstonisd.org.

So here's the drill...please take note of the following:

For Your Safety

The pandemic has been a crazy time for all of us. Photo Backgrounds

Simple, colorful, and modern. Sorry, but we don't employ the use of wagon wheels, picket fences, fake flowers or Green Screen. We keep it simple and keep the focus on your child, and not the backdrop.

Student's Choice!

Please be aware that your child gets to choose their color of background, yay!

Unless that color totally clashes with their outfit, we take the photo on their chosen shade. Please don't be angry with us if your boy ends up on hot pink, or if your girl ends up on hot pink for that matter...because THEY chose it!

Also note that once they are photographed on a color, we cannot change it because we don't use Green Screen (we think it's cheesy).

Hair and Grooming

We do our best to clean the faces of little ones, and ask the big ones how their hair is supposed to look. We always do our best to fix your child's hair before taking their picture, so please prompt your child on what to do with their hair when they're in front of our camera.

For long-haired girls, we suggest wearing hair down, as ponytails and braids do not photograph as well as loose hair. Hair bows and accessories should be smaller in size as to not distract from your student's face.

Portrait Style & Wardrobe

Spring Pictures are shot at 3/4 length, meaning, we photograph your child from the knees up, so have them wear their best outfits! Clothing for Spring Pictures is school-appropriate Free Dress on your Teacher's assigned Picture Day (please check the schedule below).

We suggest something colorful, fun and stylish for spring; please AVOID giant logos or wordy graphic tees, and costumes. We also recommend that if you FORGET to dress your child appropriately, please send them back on their non-scheduled day, as we DO NOT DO RETAKES for Spring Portraits.

Smile, Please!

At Lot Five Studios we try our hardest to get the very best and natural smiles out of each and every child. We take our time to make kids feel comfortable in front of the camera.

However, despite our best efforts, sometimes they are shy, or just plain not willing to work with us. Maybe you can help? Please, help us help you get a great photo of your child by asking your student to smile and comply, we appreciate it!

All the Details

What you need to know about Proofing

1. We photograph your child on their Spring Picture Day.

2. If they were absent, please send them the following day in free-dress and we will photograph them. If you forget to send them in free-dress, please send them back the next day. Reminder: there are no retakes for Spring Pictures.

3. Give us a few weeks to process the images and get them ready for viewing, usually about 3-5 weeks for larger schools.

4. When the images are uploaded and ready to go, we will send an information flyer to the school, letting parents know how to access their child's gallery for viewing and order instructions. Reminder: there are no retakes for Spring Pictures. If you are a newsletter subscriber, you get to know before everyone else does (perks, yay!).

5. Place an order by the deadline date to have your order delivered to the school for free. Orders will be distributed through the teachers.

6. If you missed the deadline, don't worry--your images will still be available for purchase, however you will have to pay a shipping fee so it will be sent directly to you.

A Few Final Notes:

NO RETAKES will be offered for Spring Pictures as this program is done as an additional service to the families of OFE. If your child misses their scheduled day, or forgot to wear free dress, PLEASE send them back to be photographed again the following day, if possible. Thanks for your understanding.

Ordering Online. It's our thing. There will be cut-off date for orders to be delivered to the school, so please keep your eyes peeled for deadlines. After deadlines, you can still order, but you will have to pay a shipping fee, and we don't offer as many cool packages or products as the ones we deliver to the school. Please expect up to 6 weeks after deadline for order delivery.

Your Kid is a Star. We'd love to use your child's photo! At Lot Five Studios, we are always looking for smiling students to use as our models. If you are interested in allowing your child's school photo to serve as one of the faces for our school-specific marketing pieces, please make sure to read the info at the end of your online order before checkout. If you do not wish for your child's image to be used, please read the info and let us know. Don't worry, we never use any identifying information about your children--just their awesome image.
